Meet Our 2026 Dance Teacher Award Honorees in New York City

These extraordinary educators have each made a lasting impact on dancers and communities through their artistry, mentorship, and dedication to dance education. 

Please join me in celebrating these remarkable teachers and all they have given to the dance community at the 2026 Dance Teacher Awards ceremony on Wednesday, October 14, at 11 am at The Loft at City Winery, Pier 57 in New York City. Later this month, we’ll bring you more practical teaching tools, including advice on helping students understand the power of opposition in movement, an Italian-fouetté lesson plan with Ballet Tech’s faculty director, Ashley Tuttle, and a roundup of recent books on dance history.
