Growing Together This November
Every dance teaching journey comes with its own challenges, discoveries, and opportunities to grow.
This November, we’re exploring the many facets of dance education—from the realities of commuting between teaching jobs to navigating perimenopause and menopause. You’ll also find practical advice for developing your teaching practice, including a Technique & Artistry feature on pushing past plateaus, plus tips for studio owners looking to bring community Nutcracker productions to life.
There’ll also be plenty of opportunities to learn from your peers, too, including Quan Powers, a Black male educator working in K–12 education, Dr. Hari Krishnan of Wesleyan University on why a little disruption can be good for learning, and New York City Ballet’s repertory director, Craig Salstein, on how he coaches the whole dancer.
And finally, Felipe Galganni, longtime faculty member at Steps on Broadway, will share their top tips for filling your open classes on our next DT+ Teacher Talk on Thursday, November 9 at 12 pm ET.
With excitement,
