Win Money for Your K–12 Classroom
November 12, 2012

As a teacher, you value your students’ needs above all else. But if you work in a K–12 setting, chances are you’re operating under a pretty tight budget. If you find yourself regularly dipping into your personal funds to give your dancers the best education you can, you are not alone. In fact, the insurance company California Casualty has established a new program to address that very issue.

The $2,500 Academic Award, available to any K–12 public school teacher in the U.S., is intended to cover the costs of classroom materials and supplies for teachers who want to go above and beyond their institution’s available budget.

Teachers must be members of the National Education Association and can enter by visiting calcasacademicaward.com. The deadline is December 16, and the winner will be announced on January 2, 2013.
