Who says ballerinas can’t rock? At the Teen Choice Awards earlier this month, pop-punk band Paramore performed their single, “Still Into You,” led by neon-haired frontwoman Hayley Williams. One verse into the high-energy tune, a crowd of dancers rushed the stage, their traditional pink leos and tights punked out with black vests, tutus and pointe shoes. They contrasted Williams’ rocker moves with melodramatic Swan Lake arms and fluttering bourrées, but they did plenty of head-banging party dancing and prancing, too. Way to go, girls!
