From October 18–November 18, Lincoln Center is presenting its third annual White Light Festival, a series of performances honoring the “illuminating” effects of music and dance on our lives.
The line-up includes appearances by the Akram Khan Company, classical Indian dancer Malavika Sarukkai and Ireland’s Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre in their New York debut.
Also scheduled to perform (this Sunday) is organist Cameron Carpenter, a young, uniquely edgy virtuoso who credits his organ-playing prowess in part to his training in ballet, tap and modern dance. Check out his video interview, “Dancers Make Better Organists,” and visit whitelightfestival.org for info and tickets.
