Now that Thanksgiving has passed, we know what’s on everyone’s minds: The Nutcracker! With showtime quickly approaching, chances are that you’re feeling overworked, stressed out and up to your ears in tutus–which makes it easy to forget how magical this ballet is and how excited your students will be when the curtain rises. Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet recently released a behind-the-scenes video detailing the rehearsal process behind their own production of The Nutcracker, taking place on December 14–15 and 21–22. You’ll see shots of dancers rehearsing (tutus included), costumes being sewn and eager, young ballerinas giggling at the mere prospect of what’s ahead. The video is a great, quick watch to remind you why you went through the whole hassle of producing your own Nutcracker in the first place.
