Why Dance the World Broadway Is the Ultimate Way to Experience NYC
Sponsored by World Class Vacations
May 1, 2019

New York City is a dream destination for many dancers. However aspiring Broadway stars don’t have to wait until they’re pros to experience all the city has to offer. With Dance the World Broadway, students can get a taste of the Big Apple—plus hone their dance skills and make lasting memories.

Here’s why Dance the World Broadway is the best way for students to experience NYC:

1. Make friends from around the world

Your students will mingle with dancers from all over the globe, with plenty of time to socialize outside of rehearsals—including a dinner and dance cruise along the Hudson River! You’ll get an up-close look at the Statue of Liberty, and an unbelievable view of the NYC skyline. Even a celebrity guest or two have been known to make a surprise appearance.

2. Learn from the pros

The weekend is packed with star power. All participants take a Disney Movement and Music workshop where they’ll learn how to be a triple threat from current or former Disney Broadway performers. On Sunday, dancers will take a celebrity master class with some of the brightest stars in the industry: Last year it was taught by Lindsay Arnold from “Dancing with the Stars,” and this year will feature Hamilton performer Jordan Fisher.

3. Dance on a Broadway stage

Your studio will have the opportunity to dance your choreography in a Broadway theater with other participating schools. The showcase format gives dancers the chance to see what it’s like to perform on a world-class stage without the pressure of a competition. The 2019 performance will take place on the Frozen stage at the St. James Theatre.

4. Perform in Times Square

As if performing on a Broadway stage wasn’t enough, your dancers also get to take over Times Square! On Saturday evening, your students will perform in the heart of NYC. With costumes and choreography provided by Dance the World Broadway, all you have to do is sit back and watch your dancers shine.

5. Bring the whole family along!

While the program is a great chance for your students to bond and strengthen their performance skills, it’s also conveniently scheduled in the summer to give families the chance to attend together. Once you’ve signed your studio up, Dance the World Broadway staff can work with each family to personalize the experience. With optional add-ons like attending a Broadway show, bus tours of the city and discounts to top attractions, every family can experience NYC the way they want.

Dance the World Broadway 2019 will take place July 23-27. Sign up here!
