#NYCDanceWeek2017 Kicks Off This Week
June 12, 2017

Who wants free dance classes?!?

New York City Dance Week, a citywide annual nonprofit project of Tendu Inc., brings awareness to dance by partnering with almost 40 studios to offer hundreds of free (yes FREE!) and discounted classes, June 15–24.

Participating schools this year include Mark Morris Dance Center, Peridance Capezio Center, Arthur Murray NYC on Broadway, Ballet Academy East, Flamenco Vivo and Kat Wildish Presents @ PMT House of Dance. Special events include an injury-prevention workshop with the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries and the Dancer for a Day Program that lets inner-city youths experience the life of a professional dancer for a day.

To kick off the festival, Ailey Extension instructor Jeffrey Bynum will lead an outdoor class for all ages and levels (no registration required) at Lincoln Center’s Josie Robertson Plaza on Wednesday, June 14, at 6 pm.

To participate in all other events you must be registered. Visit here for all the details. And watch the video below!
