From director shifts and beyond, here are the dance educator moves you should know about from winter 2025–26.
Jay Staten has joined St. Louis’ Center of Creative Arts (COCA) as artistic director of dance.
Zoica Tovar was named school director of The Washington School of Ballet.
Samantha Dunster was appointed artistic director of American Repertory Ballet | Princeton Ballet School.
Maria Konrad will step down as director of Nashville Ballet’s Second Company at the conclusion of the 2025–26 season. She will be succeeded by School of Nashville Ballet co-director Dmitri Kulev, who will remain on the school’s faculty and continue to lead its men’s program. Fellow school co-director Jennifer Kulev will become its sole director.
Jill Krutzkamp has been appointed artistic director of the Louisville Ballet Studio Company.
Westside School of Ballet associate executive director Adrian Blake Mitchell has been named artistic director designate of the Westside Ballet of Santa Monica. On June 8, he will succeed artistic director Martine Harley, who will become director of artistic operations.
Isabelle Brouwers has been appointed artistic director of Yorkshire Ballet Seminars.
Jerron Herman has been named the 2025–26 Helen Stambler Neuberger artist in residence at National Dance Institute.
