From director shifts and beyond, here are the dance educator moves you should know about from spring 2026.

Clifford Williams has joined New York Dance Project as associate artistic director.

Jordan-Elizabeth Long has joined Charlottesville Ballet Academy as managing director. Co-founder and school director Sara Jansen Clayborne will assume the role of Charlottesville Ballet’s chief executive officer in July.

Whitney McIntosh-Joseph has joined Dancewave as executive director.

Lauren Fadeley Veyette will join Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music as a visiting associate professor in ballet on August 1.

Clare Maxwell will join Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre in August as head of its Engage programming.

Bethany Kingsley-Garner has been appointed artistic director of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Young Ballet Company, effective in September.

Hofesh Shechter has been named guest artistic director of the UK’s National Youth Dance Company for the 2026–27 season.
