Charles O. Anderson joined The Ohio State University’s Department of Dance as department chair on June 1.
Gerald Casel has been named professor and chair of the dance department at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts.
Duane Cyrus has been named director of the University of Arizona School of Dance, effective July 1. He succeeds Jory Hancock, who announced his retirement alongside his wife, fellow School of Dance faculty member Melissa Lowe, in January 2021.
Julia M. Ritter has been named dean of University of Southern California’s Glorya Kaufman School of Dance, effective July 1.
Tiffany Lopez has been appointed dean of the Claire Trevor School of the Arts at University of California, Irvine, effective July 1.
Stella Abrera has been named acting artistic director of American Ballet Theatre’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School for the 2022–23 school year, effective August 22.
Jacqueline Bodet Stepan will succeed Pamela Thompson as artistic director of Classical Ballet of Mobile at the start of the fall semester.
Jacob Ashley Brooks EL was appointed director of the School of Madison Ballet in January.
Ryan-Olivia Lundy has been named program director at Heart of Dance.
Chell Parkins has been named dance education scholar-in-residence at Ballet Hispánico.
Kun-Yang Lin will retire from his position at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music & Dance at the conclusion of the school year.
Dr. Kariamu Welsh will posthumously be awarded American Dance Festival’s 2022 Balasaraswati/Joy Anne Dewey Beinecke Endowed Chair for Distinguished Teaching at a ceremony scheduled for June 19.
