National Dance Week Moves to February 24–March 5
February 1, 2017

Along with the date change, National Dance Week announces 10 awards to be given out each day of the week to celebrate outstanding achievements in 2016, including “A Chance to Dance” scholarship recipients, the “Kick for Kindness” anti-bullying campaign, dance mob contest, essay and poster contests and Ambassador of the Year, who will serve on the NDWF board for one year. “We needed more than just one week to celebrate dance,” says Cathy Graziano, executive director of the National Dance Week Foundation. “We had been hearing from many that they were not able to be involved when NDW was in late April. We did not want to leave anyone out.”

With a mission of dance advocacy, the National Dance Week Foundation hosts monthly events throughout the year. To see a complete list, visit: nationaldanceweek.org.
