Welcome to DanceTeacher+—I’m so thrilled you’re here!

Now that you’re part of our community, you’ll get access to more insight and inspiration to advance your teaching practice or studio business.

Let me show you around and give you a sampling of what’s in store:

Teaching Resources

Open the doorway into dance history and rediscover the storied careers of legends like Alvin Ailey, Loie Fuller and Maria Tallchief. These profiles can be enlightening for your students and we’ll be highlighting dozens of dance icons in this ongoing series.

Our Technique & Artistry column shares seasoned educators’ approaches to dance concepts across a variety of styles. To start, learn how to help your students achieve more dynamic pliés and master handstands. You can also watch expert-led teaching videos, including our tutorial on helping students develop an awareness of their backspace, led by NYU Tisch School of the Arts’ Pamela Pietro.

For musical inspiration, check out Kathryn Morgan’s curated playlist and tips on musicality that you can use in your own classroom.

And finally, since audition season is upon us, one of this month’s health & body features gives you a complete fueling plan to support your dancers during this strenuous time. We also offer insight on how to create a more body-positive learning environment

For more great content, including all of our exclusive stories—plus member deals, which will be coming your way soon—click the menu option at the top left of your screen from the members’ home page.

Monthly Newsletters

Be on the lookout for a curated collection of brand-new stories and resources sent straight to your inbox every month. Put simply, it’s a letter from us—to you—telling you why these issues matter in the world of dance education, so you can always stay creative and current.

Weekly Polls

How many hours a week do you teach? What are your biggest challenges? What do you find most rewarding as a dance teacher? Our weekly polls give you an opportunity to share your thoughts and see how the rest of the community feels.

There’s so much more to come and we’re just getting started. In the meantime, if you have any questions or just want to say hello, please send me a note at [email protected]

The DanceTeacher+ team is honored to be a part of your incredible teaching journey!

With excitement,
Reanne Rodrigues
