June 23, 2017

In an event inspired by the words of President John F. Kennedy, The Washington Ballet will perform the world premier of WHO WHEN WHY this Saturday, June 24, at the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Kogod Courtyard.

Kennedy famously asked, “If not us, who? If not now, when?” In this new work, instructor and choreographer Mimmo Miccolis from The Washington School of Ballet—headed by headed by Xiomora Reyes—takes the late president’s questions a step further to ask “why?” Why are these quotes are still important today. The company dancers performing, Francesca Dugarte, Jonathan Jordan, Tamás Krizsa and Maki Onuki, will be accompanied by live violinist, Caterina Vannucci, who will play an original composition by Francesco Germini.

The event is this Saturday at 4:15 and 4:45 pm.
