So we knew Jared Grimes was an extremely talented tapper (not to mention unbelievably energetic—at our April 2015 cover shoot, the man would not stop tapping), but sometimes you just need a refresher. Like this video, where Grimes improvises his heart out during a shoot for Jazz at Lincoln Center’s current season.

Grimes is performing this weekend with Wynton Marsalis and another wonderfully idiosyncratic dancer, Lil Buck, in Spaces, a music-dance concert. Damian Woetzel serves as choreographic consultant, so expect magic. Click here for tickets and more information.
