National Honor Society for Dance Arts for High Schools and Colleges
September 27, 2012

If your high school offers dance—even as an after-school program—or if your college supports accredited dance coursework—even as an elective—you could establish a chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA).

The program, offered by the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO), strives to recognize the achievements of deserving dance students and to advance and legitimize the status dance as an art form within the education system.

Institutions must maintain an NDEO membership while offering an NHSDA chapter, and high schools need to have a faculty member availble to act as Chapter Sponsor. Application details for the Seconday Program for high schools can be found here, and Collegiate Program details can be found here.
