Luigi, Ferri and More at the Italian International Dance Festival
March 20, 2013

Great choice, IIDF! Dance Teacher presented Luigi with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003.

This Friday in NYC, the Italian International Dance Festival will present the incomparable Luigi with the organization’s first Lifetime Achievement Award. As part of the ceremony, dancers will perform two of the master teacher’s jazz solos: “New York, New York” and “Solitude.” And the star-power doesn’t end there.  Iconic ballerina Alessandra Ferri will make an appearance to accept the Heart for Art Extraordinary Dancer Award, and Martha Graham School director Virginie Mécène will present the Heart for Art Teaching Award to Milan–based modern teacher Elena Albano.
