Northwestern University has announced that Mikhail Baryshnikov will deliver the commencement address to 2013’s graduating class. He’ll also receive an honorary degree during the ceremony, scheduled for June 21.

Baryshnikov’s daughter Anna is a junior in NU’s School of Communication. She told the Daily Northwestern she’s “proud of him for going through with it and excited to see what he comes up with.” Good for her for not being embarrassed of her old man!
