Get Jazzed Up About NDEO's Jazz Conference
March 3, 2016

Ask any jazz dancer or teacher for his or her thoughts on the topic of jazz dance and its future, and you’ll get an earful. If you want to get several earfuls at once, check out the National Dance Education Organization’s jazz conference, July 31–August 3 at Salve Regina University, in Newport, Rhode Island.

Inspired by the book Jazz Dance: A History of the Roots and Branches, the conference will explore jazz via movement workshops and conversations. (And if you get there a few days early, you’ll be just in time for the Newport Jazz Festival.)

There are lots of names you’ll recognize as guest presenters: Bob Boross, Danny Buraczeski, Thom Cobb, Billy Siegenfeld.

For early bird rates, register by April 1.

Don’t miss a single issue of Dance Teacher.
