Camille A. Brown, Gabrielle Lamb and Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Riener have all been awarded New York City Center’s 2014 Choreography Fellowships. Over the course of a year, recipients receive a complete artist’s package from City Center, along with technical and administrative assistance.
The fellowship was created to support choreographers who are at significant stages in their careers. Brown, artistic director of Camille A. Brown & Dancers, is currently choreographing two plays. Lamb, a former Morphoses dancer, has created work for BalletX and Ballet Austin. Mitchell and Reiner, who both danced in the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, have been collaborating since 2010.
