Washington University Recognizes Bill T. Jones

Bill T. Jones will be awarded in September the 2016 International Humanities Medal from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. The medal, accompanied by a $25,000 prize, is given every two years to artists, writers or scholars who significantly impact the fields of arts or letters. The award-winning choreographer is known for his poignant commentary on politically charged subjects, such as race, sexuality and AIDS, through movement, imagery, text and sound.
