The Ford Theatre in Hollywood Reopens This Month With a (Dance) BANG
July 14, 2017

Good news, Hollywood dancers: The historic John Anson For Amphitheatre has just reopened, after some extensive renovations—and to celebrate, the theater is offering really cool programming initiatives, with plenty of dance on tap:

From Savion Glover’s sick hoofing skills (tomorrow, July 15) to bellydance (July 21) to the fiercely fabulous Syncopated Ladies’ all-female tap show (July 28) to contemporary choreographer Azure Barton’s deliciously quirky dancemaking (August 18). (And I haven’t even mentioned Jacob Jonas and Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company. Or the Monday evening jam sessions with the likes of CONTRA-TIEMPO.) You can view everything upcoming on the event calendar here.

Grandeza Mexicana performs September 2.
