Tamii Sakurai joined the American Tap Dance Foundation’s Tap City Youth Ensemble as a founding member in 2006. Now, she’s rehearsal director for the program, and she’s completed ATDF’s Tap Teacher Training Certificate Program. Here, she teaches an Irish step, which she uses to help students understand swing rhythm versus straight rhythm.
