The Brighton Ballet Theater and School of Russian Ballet, which makes its home at Kingsborough Community College in coastal South Brooklyn, lost its collection of handmade costumes to flooding from Hurricane Sandy.
The studio prides itself on awarding yearly scholarships to many low-income students from New York City, and it is turning to the successful internet fundraising site Kickstarter to get their non-profit business back on track.
