Diane Rawlinson was honored in March as the 2014 Ruth Page Award recipient. This honor, given to those who share the late ballerina and choreographer Ruth Page’s passion and vision for dance, was presented to Rawlinson for her work with Orchesis, the dance company of Wheeling High School, where she is also a dance teacher. Rawlinson has enjoyed a 30-year career in dance education and is the founder of Dance for Life’s “Next Generation,” an annual student-produced concert that has raised more than $170,000 for Dance for Life and The Children’s Place Association.
