Dance/NYC has announced that Paul Taylor will receive the 2012 Bessie Award for Lifetime Acheivement.
Alice Teirstein will also be honored at the October 15th ceremony for her work as founding director of the Young Dancemakers Company and on the faculty of the Bronx’s Ethical Culture Fieldston School. Read more about Teirstein’s contributions here.
The evening will feature performances by the Trisha Brown Company and Souleymane Badolo, with awards presented by Ron Brown, Brenda Bufalino, Bebe Neuwirth and more.
