In response to a Chicago Teachers’ Union strike, set to begin on October 11, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago has stepped up to the educational plate. The organization’s youth programs will expand to include day-long dance classes during the strike. These pop-up camps will be held from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Hubbard Street Dance Center.

There will be camps for two age groups: 5–7 (using Hubbard Street’s creative movement curriculum) and 8–12 (open studio and academy track curricula). The camps will be $100 per child, per day; siblings are $75 per child. If you register for a full week of camp, it’s $400 per child. Click here for more information and to register.
