Dance Teacher Magazine: Tips for When and How to Eat Before a Performance

Tips for When and How to Eat Before a Performance

by Joanna Laufer

Before your students step onstage, remember to. . .

1. Have students bring their own food.

2. Involve parents in your healthy eating campaign by asking them to help or remind their children to prepare snacks such as fruit, yogurt and sandwiches.

3. Remind students to eat, regardless of frazzled nerves or misconceptions about eating before competition.

4. Have students eat a light breakfast the day of competition.
