What Are Effective Marketing Strategies to Boost Enrollment?

By kblake

Q: What are some effective marketing strategies to boost my enrollment, other than word-of-mouth referrals?

A: Community outreach works! By making a difference in your community, you can get the word out about your programs.

Faculty members from our studio frequently choreograph shows at various local theaters, and we recently offered a free tap workshop for all of those auditioning for The Producers. This has generated new students in our musical theater, tap and jazz classes. Our faculty and studio are credited in the programs, and the local media provide great coverage of these productions.

We suggest approaching local community centers to offer outreach classes for after-school programs. You could also offer dance workshops at your local health club, daycare or adult learning center. These organizations post event information in their newsletters and on their websites. Request that they link to your website, ask if you can place brochures in their facility and share your event with the local press.
