News: PBS Offers Nine Iconic Performances

By rzar

Start tuning in to PBS every Friday night for an exclusive look at amazing dance, music, opera and theater concerts from across the country. Each week a new performance will be broadcast as part of the first-ever PBS Arts Fall Festival. The nine-week lineup begins October 14 at 9 pm EST, with Gilbert and Sullivan’s H.M.S Pinafore. Upcoming dance performances include Miami City Ballet in works by George Balanchine and Twyla Tharp (Oct. 28), Bill T. Jones’ A Good Man (Nov. 11) and San Francisco Ballet in The Little Mermaid (Dec. 16). Each installment, performed in a different part of the country, also features behind-the-scenes exclusives about the creative process, and online exhibits offer an even more detailed, interactive look at each event.
